about
'Ti Prego Memory Man'
This track was recorded during the first recording sessions of our debut AWVFTS album back in 2009.
Subsequently released on Ghostly International’s 2013 'SSM: Opiate' compilation on limited vinyl & CD.
Available now for the first time anywhere, we have the HD 24bit 88Khz WAV direct from 1/2 inch analogue tape, mastered @ Calyx in Berlin.
Adam wrote at the time of the initial release:
"'Ti Prego Memory Man', is an outtake from our virgin voyage recording session at Grunewald Church in Berlin, around the Spring of 2009. Originally it was planned for inclusion on our self-titled debut, but for whatever reason, we left it off.
For our ears, it is still one of the best sounding Bosendorfer pianos left on earth."
Mixed by Francesco Donadello
Mastered by Bo @ Calyx

A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’. They’re still devastating live and, after all those years, THE authority in Instrumental Rock music. Logen Ninefingers
